Giving Back to the Community

Our firm had the opportunity to volunteer with Nery’s Promise, an organization dedicated to supporting children in need through life skills development and tutoring. During this experience, we helped prepare Thanksgiving meals for families, created crafts for the children’s games, and assisted with organizing the office which contributed to their mission of providing care and support to the community.

The Richmond Rosenberg Helping Hands Fashion Show was a rewarding event that blended community, creativity, and giving back. Our team sponsored a table and volunteered employees to walk the runway, styling their looks after selecting outfits from the RRHH closet. Beyond the fun, our sponsorship also contributed financially to their ongoing initiatives, which directly benefit the community through programs that provide essential resources such as food and clothing to those in need. Overall, the event was a rewarding opportunity to give back, connect with the community, and support an organization dedicated to making a positive impact.

Our firm was proud to sponsor a table and attend the Fort Bend Hope Gala Superhero’s, an annual fundraiser dedicated to supporting programs that educate children and families and help break the cycle of generational poverty. The event brought the community together for an evening of dinner, games, and engaging auction items, all contributing to the organization’s mission. Funds raised from the gala, including proceeds from the auctions, provide critical financial support for Fort Bend Hope’s educational initiatives, including adult education programs. These efforts empower families with the tools and resources they need to build stronger, more stable futures.

On April 16th, attorneys and staff from Showalter, Colgin and Davis, PLLC attended the Women in Business Luncheon hosted by the Central Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce at the Rosenberg Civic Center. Stephanie Clarke Davis, Ghizal Miri, Susan Headrick, and Constance Scott spent the morning surrounded by driven, inspiring women from across the Fort Bend community.

The event centered on the theme “Lead Boldly, Live Authentically,” and featured two powerhouse speakers. J Franco, founder of FIMM Agency and 2026 American Business Woman of the Year, spoke on showing up authentically in business and life. Ashley Baxter, leadership strategist and founder of Mission Forward Consulting, delivered a keynote on leading with clarity, conviction, and wholeness, leaving the room with practical tools to carry into their professional lives.

Our team left recharged and reminded of why community matters. Getting out of the office and into a room with other women in business, hearing their stories and perspectives, is something we value deeply. We are grateful to the Central Fort Bend Chamber for organizing such a meaningful event and look forward to continuing to show up for our community.

An Afternoon of Fashion, Fellowship, and Philanthropy

Taking place Friday, June 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Magnolia Ballroom at Safari Texas, Feast on Fashion brings the community together for one of the most anticipated events of the season. The afternoon pairs a seated luncheon and beverage service with plenty to see and do, including a silent auction and a raffle. Boutique pop-up shopping is open on both sides of the runway show, so guests have time to browse before the models walk and again once the applause dies down. The show itself spotlights current looks from favorite area boutiques, with styles for women, men, and teens, which means shoppers of nearly any age or taste will find something worth taking home.

We are delighted to have a model walk the runway on behalf of our firm this year, wearing a look chosen from the Helping Hands Community Closet. It is a meaningful way for us to celebrate the organization’s mission up close. Every dollar raised at Feast on Fashion supports the programs and daily operations that keep local families fed, clothed, and cared for throughout the year, furthering the vision that no child in our community goes to bed hungry.
